Jotun connecting with Software Innovation 

(30 August 2011) – Jotun has chosen Software Innovation as the vendor of their new internal information and document management systems. The Business 360°. application allows Jotun to connect employees on a shared platform for storing and sharing information. The goal is to make the flow of information more efficient and provide the employees with a more organized work environment.

An extensive international bidding process resulted in Software Innovation as the vendor of the new system for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) with Business 360°. The change was fuelled by the need to implement a scalable and user-friendly solution for information and document management, which will connect the company’s employees to each other and provide a more efficient flow of information.

“The document management system Business 360°. gives us a modern and flexible application that can be used internally between departments as well as across international borders,” says Merete Aspaas, Group Vice President of Corporate Affairs in Jotun. “The system can be scaled to meet our global aims. Jotun employs over 8,000 people around the world and has 38 production facilities across the continents. Our head offices are in Sandefjord.”

 

Flexible and user friendly
One of the most valued attributes of Business 360°. is that it is a pre-configured standardized model with enormous flexibility. This enables Jotun to expand and adapt the application to meets the company’s needs and to support a broader range of business processes, users and departments – as well as integrating with the company’s own professional systems.

By collecting the applications in a single place we provide our employees with easy access to applications and information they need on a daily basis. This ensures a more efficient and organized workday,” says Aspaas.

 

Important milestone
The contract with Jotun is an important milestone for Software Innovation’s investment in the private market, where the company has won a number of important clients and large contracts over the last year.
