Health South-East has completed its procurement process in strict accordance to public procurement laws. Following a comprehensive review of all the offerings, the regional health administration decided to set in place a framework contract with Software Innovation for the delivery of an IT application for case and document management. The contract covers provision for Health South-East as well as the eleven hospital trusts in their area. It involves upgrades to software and new installation, support and maintenance of Software Innovation's application, Public 360°.
Norway's largest regional health body
With its eleven hospital trusts and approximately 65,000 employees, Health South-East is Norway's largest regional health body, providing specialist services to a population of about 2.7 million residents. Several of the health services in the region will be given the opportunity to use Public 360° as their daily working platform.
”We are delighted to have in place a regional contract that can now be used by the whole group of services. One of our goals is to focus on more shared solutions. This can simplify processes, reporting routines and case-handling – so that the working day becomes more efficient for staff in the health services” says Steinar Marthinsen, Group Director of Health South-East.
”We achieve results in several areas through developing and implementing a standardised solution across the hospital trusts. A shared solution will for example allow us to easily meet government requirements and NOARK standards,” Marthinsen concludes.
Important recognition
The comprehensive contract with Health South-East is extremely important for Software Innovation and means that the company is strengthening its position in the Norwegian health sector at large.
"Software Innovation is pleased and proud to have been chosen to supply case and document management applications to Health South-East. This is an important recognition of our future-oriented and innovative solutions built on Microsoft's SharePoint platform,” says Halvor Walla, Administrative Director of Software Innovation Norway.
“The fact that the application is entirely integrated with SharePoint and Office simplifies the user interface and allows the user to continue to work in familiar ways. We look forward to collaborating to improve efficiency and information management in the hospital trusts in the coming years,”, says Walla.
